TREKKING TO THE RORAIMA TEPUI - Canaima National Park

This hill (Tepui in the pemón language) is the highest tepuy within the range of tepuis. It is 2,810 m. In its summit we find the triple vertex that delimitates the frontier between three countries: Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. Although the tepuis are the oldest rock formation in the world, they are places hardly studied and explored. The endemism of the plants and animals that you find there are the most significant characteristics of that marvelous place where the combination of the mysterious rock formations with continuously clouded climate gives it a mystical and energetic touch. From immemorial times this tepuy has been the inspiration of indigenous legends and most recently of the novel “The Lost World” by Arthur Conan Doyle.”
