TREKKING TO THE AUYANTEPUI - Canaima National Park

This is a magical trek to a unique place barely visited. During this trek you will find spectacular landscapes, a variety of environments and will have the opportunity to experience this amazing remote place. This is an unparalleled experience. The summit of this tepuy has 700 square km of surface and it is covered with exotic vegetation and unbelievable rock formations originated by the erosion. In the summit you will find forests, rivers of great dimensions that fall from prodigiously high vertical walls of the Tepuis turning into stunning waterfalls, being the Salto Ángel (the world’s tallest waterfall), the most famous one. This majestic waterfall was known to the scientific world thanks to the explorer, miner and bold pilot Jimmy Angel in 1935. The route that we currently use to ascend the tepuy is the same Gustavo Heny designed for Jimmy Angel and his team, while they were exploring the tepuy’s summit looking for gold.
