THE NIRVANA OF THE MOUNTAIN BIKE - Boconó

This trip has routes that include some of the best “single-track” that you can imagine. You will find steep slopes, vertiginous descents, technical terrains, gorgeous mountains and landscapes that go from clouded forests, tropical rain forests, “páramos” covered with “frailejones” to crystalline streams. If to all this we add a charming place with excellent service and delicious food we have a perfect combination for you as mountain biker. Far from the traditional touristic circuits, it is an absolute authentic place with small rural houses scattered around the mountains in which the cattle freely pastures. The majority of houses and villages are communicated through rural roads or trails. The locals generally travel through these roads riding animals, by foot or in 4x4 cars. It is possible to find artisans that do their trade the traditional way, and you can find wooden sculptures representing many Venezuelan characters and the weaving of wool rugs or blankets by means of a pedal loom. Boconó is known as “Venezuelas’ garden”, due to its green mountains and fertile soil.
